(SI.com) Massachusetts state police arrested a Boston man early Sunday morning after he improperly activated the fire alarm at the Steelers’ team hotel. Dennis Harrison, 25, of East Boston was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and setting off a false fire alarm after pulling the alarm at the Logan Airport Hilton at 3:40 a.m.
Some free legal advice to anyone reading this. If you feel the need to do something illegal, don’t post it (or let your friends post it) on social media or anywhere on the internet. It will come back to haunt you. Obviously, Dennis Harrison had already been arrested and posted bail when his friends emailed El Pres at Barstool Sports.
We all have that one friend who is dumb enough who can be talked into anything, but you never really think he’s going to go through with it. Typically they just pass out somewhere and that’s the night. Not Dennis Harrison though. He’s an overachiever. His friends go to bed excited to watch the Patriots play in the AFCG the next day, but Dennis is out doing
God’s Belichick’s work making sure the Steelers don’t get a full nights sleep. Apparently most of Steelers’ players and coaches didn’t have to leave the building and it now serves as a nice excuse should they lose, but the effort was there.
First question, why are the Steelers staying at the Logan Airport Hotel? Go stay closer to Foxborough and rent out the whole hotel and don’t make it public knowledge where you are staying. Second question, how does this seem to happen so frequently in the NFL? Either keep the location secret or hire a few security guards at each entrance for the night. It’s really peanuts in terms of overall costs in a season, especially when a Super Bowl trip is on the line.
