Brady isn’t the MVP the NFL wants, but he’s the MVP it deserves. After almost 2 years of deflategate nonsense, Tom Brady may have his sweet revenge in the form of an MVP and Lombardi trophy. Nothing would make Goodell more upset and nothing would make PatsNation happier. Sure you can think someone else has a chance of winning. That is if you enjoy having incorrect opinions. The only way Brady doesn’t win MVP this year is if the sports writers rob him of the title- which most fans will blame entirely on Goodell. Am I a little biased because I’m...Continue reading »

We’ve finally hit the final regular season slate of the NFL season. If you’ve been winning a lot it felt too short, if you mostly lost it probably felt like an eternity. NFL is tough for DFS to begin with, Week 17 might be a nightmare trying to figure out who is going to play and how much. There is a lot of value opening up if you can guess which replacement will have a big game. This is the week to finally spend down at running back I think. There is so much value and little is guaranteed in terms of playing time for some of the top dogs. It’s a full...Continue reading »

Week 17 in the NFL can be a shit show with teams resting starters if they already have a playoff spot locked up, or even non-playoff teams plugging in backups to see what they have. Maybe your fantasy football league has a Week 17 championship (it shouldn’t), maybe you are just looking for an advantage in DFS, or maybe you’re just interested in knowing what teams have something left to play for and the various playoff tiebreaker scenarios. I’ll go over all of this and more as I review each team with a shot at the post season. Here’s a look at the...Continue reading »

The Jets are coming to Foxborough with nothing to play for. The Patriots can clinch home field if they win out (or if they win tomorrow and the Raiders lose). Either way the Pats are going to come out motivated against a weaker opponent. It’s amazing how closely these teams match up every time they square off; what’s more amazing is the Pats are currently 17 point favorites and that might not be enough. These are 2 teams going in completely opposite directions. Jets coach Todd Bowles was admitted to the hospital today and will not be coaching (and likely not...Continue reading »

Welcome to the Week 16 edition of my top NFL plays for DraftKings. I had a couple of great calls in this segment last week mixed in with a few duds. Overall I broke even due to some bad betting on the early only slate (and fading Shady despite listing him). My highest ownership was on Montgomery and Freeman, so that worked out very well. I’m going to list my top fade of the week at each position, if there is a chalk play I don’t like. FYI this is going to be for the full Thursday slate (didn’t like anyone Thursday night),...Continue reading »

JcobinNBA’s Official Draftkings and Tailgate Sports Hub Introduction This is my first article on Tailgate Sports Hub and you clicked it for a reason. You’re getting this information from Fantasylabs or Draftkings that are supposed to be cheat sheets. All they do is stack your lineup leaving you naked and afraid 30 minutes before the contest with only 2.2k to fill a UTIL spot you weren’t even worried about until you realized you couldn’t fit all the STUDS and VALUES they listed. Don’t worry I am here to solve this problem. I’m not going...Continue reading »

Welcome to my NFL DraftKings Week 15 lineup review. As I continue to improve in DFS, it helps looking back at my lineups from the weekend. I am reviewing decisions I made that went well, but also trying to determine if that was a good call or lucky. More importantly, I’m looking to figure out where I went wrong in order to improve. Broke even on the day because I faded Shady on the early only slate and in my main lineups. Early only flopped because pretty much every wide out I picked yesterday had a career worst day. This lineup was my original gut pick lineup to...Continue reading »

It wasn’t a pretty game, but the Pats took care of business in Denver. Honestly, I was expecting more points in this one. Not going to complain about the top scoring defense in the league holding the Broncos to 3 points though. The Offense Let’s be honest here, the offense was awful in this one. Denver’s defense is top notch, so if you didn’t watch the game you wouldn’t be all that surprised. However, the offense missed opportunities, the Broncos defense didn’t shut them down. Brady looked terrible. He completed just 16 of 32 passes...Continue reading »

Okay it’s not a must win like you think about for the majority of teams. But this is the Pats we’re talking about, usually must win games don’t happen until the playoffs start. The reason I use the term “must win” is due to the effect this game has on the potential playoff picture. To be fair, it isn’t as big of an issue since the Chiefs beat the Raiders last week. If you don’t know why that is- the Raiders would have held the tiebreaker with the Patriots for having a better record against common opponents if both teams had won...Continue reading »

(Source) “The New England Patriots scooped up Michael Floyd off waivers, according to ESPN’s Field Yates, just one day after the Arizona Cardinals cut the former first-round pick following a DUI arrest.”   The Patriots always seem to find a way to add first round talent for basically nothing. Belichick has done it again after claiming Michael Floyd off waivers. Floyd was cut earlier this week by the Arizona Cardinals following an arrest for a DUI. Belichick and the Pats are among the best in the league in finding talented players who happen to some...Continue reading »
